REVIEW: Domaine des Lises Crozes-Hermitage 2007
October 27th, 2009 by Jeff
Price:
~$28
Region:
Rhône Valley, France
Nose:
Vibrant blackberry, red licorice, caramel, spice and vanilla.
Palate:
Full bodies with fresh acidity and smooth, round tannins. Loosely knit and approachable for sure. The blackberry from the nose follows through in the mouth along with tar plum and a long chewy finish that features more of that lovely blackberry jam, earth and minerals.
Synopsis:
Here we have a 100% Syrah from the Northern Rhone. If you had not heard, 2007 is a fantastic vintage for the entire Rhone Valley and especially for the north. That’s my buying tip for the day:
If you see 2007 Rhone wines, buy them.
The Som Rating: 9/10 Scarlett Johansson Heads
